“Stories with Santa” is an interactive festive experience for children age 2 – 8 and their families taking place at the Piano Bar of the New Theatre in Oxford from December 8-24th.
Santa has heard lots of stories on his travels around the world as he delivers presents on Christmas Eve. This year, he will share these stories with the lucky children of Oxford.
Attendees will hear festive tales as well as sing Christmas songs. After story time, children can meet Santa and receive a small gift.
Some historic notes about the New Theatre… For almost 185 years, there has been a theatre at this location on George Street. The first theatre was built in 1836, and a second in 1886. In 1908, the Dorrill family took over the venue and finally in 1934, the third Theatre opened — the ‘New Theatre’. Well-known theatre architects William and T.R. Milburn of Sunderland redesigned the art deco venue with help from T.P Bennett and Sons, who also designed the Saville Theatre in London.
